A statement about the war with Iran from the Christian Alliance of America
We are now in the tenth day of war with Iran. What began as a joint military action by Israel and the United States has now become a regional global conflict with numerous casualties. Specific war reports have been difficult to come by, leaving many to question what the objective of this war with Iran is. Members of Congress are asking for more specifics on the war, and the threat Iran poses to United States and its allies. The Trump Administration had stated that negotiations broke off with Iranian officials and that missile stockpiles, along with weapons grade uranium were still a threat to the United States, its regional partners, and allies. As of today, the military assets that have been used in the war are the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and the U.S. Navy. U.S. Army or Marine foot troops have yet to be deployed. Whether they will or will not be deployed is still a question, as the Administration has said they have not yet taken it off the table. This war caught many Americans off guard. Supporters of President Trump are asking questions, and are concerned and fearful of where this is all going.
This region of the world is highlighted in Bible prophesy. Christians and others are concerned that this conflict could get out of hand very quickly. History has taught us that events in war can change and expand in ways that countries in the conflict never intended. On Sunday night, the U.S. State Department urged all personnel in the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh Saudi Arabia to evacuate. As of today, eighteen different countries have been involved in some way in the conflict: The United States, Israel, Iran, France, Greece, the United Kingdon, Lebanon, Syria, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Emirates, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Turkey, Cyprus, Oman, and Azerbaijan. Is this the beginning of the end-times prophecy of world conflict? That is difficult to know, but what we can say is that this is a time for thoughtful prayer for our nation, for our military, and for our political leaders to have wisdom, and to listen to the concerns of their fellow countrymen.
