Revival Fire Breaking Out Among the Youth...This is Real

Faith in America is on the decline – But there is a spark of revival among a younger generation.

A 2022 Gallup Poll of faith in America found that for the first time since 1928, under 50% of Americans hold any faith tradition or association whatsoever. Many church denominations report drastic decreasing numbers of general church attendance. Generation Z is the most unchurched generation in American history, according to the Gallup poll.

Among young people in their 30’s and 40’s is a movement of deconstructing their faith. In Ohio, leading up to the 2020 pandemic, church attendance was on the decline and church closures were steadily increasing.

Post-pandemic, it has accelerated to where tens of thousands of churches have closed, and some have merged to stay viable and to survive, including Protestant, Catholic and Orthodox churches. Christian universities and seminaries are also on the decline. Many have closed. Others are reporting lower enrollments.  Atheism, the occult, and satanism, are on the rise.

But there is a breakout of a spiritual awakening among the youth on college campuses, high schools, and among youthful influencers. In a recent concert, lead singer Brad Arnold of 3 Doors Down stopped the concert to share his personal faith in Christ. Russel Brand, shock comedian and podcaster, has committed his life to Christ. In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, he said, "My only regret is that I wish I had done this sooner." Sean Feucht, worship leader, is holding meetings across the U.S. at state capitals and public squares. Thousands are coming to faith in Christ. He is currently going across Canada, where people are praying, worshipping, repenting, and committing their lives to Christ.

The fire of revival that began fifteen months ago at Asbury College is continuing.

In 1970, a similar revival at the college coincided with the birth of the Jesus Movement, in which millions of Baby Boomers came to faith in Christ. Is this the revival that will turn the tide with this next generation?

It has been 15 months since the start of the Asbury University Revival. The revival flames continue on college and University campuses, don't let the fire go out! Leviticus 6:12-13 Keep it going!! This time on the campus of OSU! There is a remnant of generation Z that is answering the call. The question now is, is this the start of a major move of God in 2023 Asbury revival

The 2023 Asbury revival was a Christian revival at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky. The revival was sparked by students spontaneously staying in Hughes Auditorium following a regularly scheduled chapel service on February 8, 2023. Following the gathering, Asbury President Kevin Brown sent out a brief two-sentence email: "There's worship happening in Hughes. You're welcome to join." The news of the phenomenon quickly spread through social media and in Christian online publications. The revival has been compared to similar revivals at Asbury, notably one that took place in 1970, which had far-reaching consequences in Methodism, culture of the United States, and the growth of the Jesus movement. Notably, news of the revival largely spread on social media, as the participants were mainly members of Generation Z. It was attended by approximately 15,000 people each day. By its end, the revival brought 50,000–70,000 visitors to Wilmore, representing more than 200 academic institutions and multiple countries. Leviticus 6:12-13 And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings.

The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.
